What is the one word God is putting on your heart for the new year?
A theme word inspires our heart and soul and gives purpose to our actions. “Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” Psalm 119:105 NLT
As we transition into 2025, I would invite you to get cozy and journal / expressively write / draw (for at least 8 minutes to encourage the rest response, and hence a more clear, focused mind).
Open with: Here I am, Lord, I am listening…
EXPANSION began 2018 (the first year I began creating a theme word). ADVENTURE filled 2019. EMBRACE captured 2020. ARISE led 2021. SEEK guided 2022. SELAH calmed 2023. CURATE renewed 2024.
I am being called to PURSUE in 2025.
“So why would I fear the future? Only goodness and tender love pursue me all the days of my life. Then afterward, when my life is through, I’ll return to your glorious presence [Yahweh’s palace] to be forever with you!” Psalm 23:6 TPT
In Psalm 23:6, pursue signifies God’s goodness and mercy are not just passively following us, but actively chasing after us, actively seeking us out, and are determined to be present in our lives no matter the circumstances; it conveys a sense of God’s relentless love and care, always actively pursuing us with blessings even when we might not feel worthy.
I felt God impressing this word pursue upon my heart and soul in a recent meditation and quiet time… I am pursuing you sweet daughter! Keep pursuing Me and keep pursuing others, be relentless in your love and care. Receive all you need from My goodness and tender love. Invest in meaningful relationships. Be generous with your quality time and resources. This will be your pursuit in 2025.
Lord, I am listening…
You are an awakener of others. As they witness what I am doing in your life, many will see and trust me. They will be drawn into a deeper place with me because of your surrender and your obedience to my call. Move your heart closer to me, and the shadow of my power will rest upon you. Do not be passive in this hour but passionate to pursue all that I hold in store for you.
Never underestimate the power of your surrendered life. Many will tell you to stay where you are. To stay in the safely of what you’ve known. To fear stepping out of the boat to walk on the water. Keep your eyes on me and step out in faith. I’ve got you. Your story will ignite passionate faith in the hearts of others. Come closer, and I will immerse you in the realm of my glory until all that is seen in you is my splendor. Your life of passionate pursuit set you apart from those who have settled for less. Thank you, beloved, for never settling for less than my best. — I Hear His Whisper by Brian Simmons and Gretchen Rodriguez
“Rise up in splendor and be radiant, for your light has dawned, and Yahweh’s glory now streams from you!” Isaiah 60:1 TPT

I so love and appreciate you being here reading the posts, joining me for yoga classes in-person or online, and/or engaging in private sessions, workshops, and retreats! THANK YOU for being uniquely you. I pray you feel safe, seen, heard, and supported.
