Participant understands that Heather Wiest, Love Serve Inspire, LLC (“Facilitator”) is leading a Holistic Retreat on January 17-19, 2025 at Spirit in the Desert 7415 E. Elbow Bend Road, Carefree Arizona 85377 (“Retreat”). Participant acknowledges that there are inherent risks involved in traveling to Spirit in the Desert as well as in participating in Retreat sessions. Participation in Retreat sessions include, but are not limited to, walking, meditation, breath work, nervous system regulation, bilateral stimulation, acupressure, aromatherapy, tapping, fascia flossing, lymphatic stimulation, somatic experiencing, singing, sound bathing, reiki, and yoga. As is the case with any form of travel as well as physical, mental, and spiritual activities, the risk of loss and injury, even serious or disabling, is always present and cannot be eliminated. The Facilitator is not liable for any injuries the Participant may sustain during or on route to the Retreat. Retreat activities are undertaken at the Participant’s own risk. Participant agrees the Facilitator will not be held liable for any medical or psychiatric conditions which may develop during or subsequent to the Retreat. Furthermore, the Facilitator is not liable for loss of or damage to Participant’s personal property while at the Retreat.

I affirm that I alone am responsible to decide whether to travel and participate in Retreat sessions. I hereby agree to irrevocably release and waive any claims that I have now or hereafter may have against the Facilitator. I acknowledge that participation in the Retreat may expose me to a possible risk of personal injury or monetary loss. I am fully aware of this risk and hereby release the Facilitator from all liability, negligence or other claims arising from or in any way connected with my participation in the Retreat. I further acknowledge that I shall not now or at any time in the future bring any legal action against the Facilitator; and that this waiver is binding on me, my heirs, my spouse, my children, my legal representatives, my successors and my assigns.

I acknowledge that I am physically fit to participate in the Retreat and a licensed medical doctor has verified my physical condition for participation. If I am pregnant or become pregnant or am post-natal, I acknowledge that I am participating in the Retreat with my doctor’s full approval and at my own risk. I understand that there are no medical conditions that prohibit my traveling or participating in the Retreat. Please ensure that you advise the Facilitator should you have any health conditions that require special attention. Should you experience any injury or discomfort during any activity during the Retreat, you must consult the Facilitator immediately. I further authorize, without my prior approval, the rendering of any emergency medical treatment that may become necessary during my participation at the Retreat.

All travel arrangements remain the responsibility of the Participant, and should be made at their own cost. Travel insurance remains the responsibility of the Participant. Travel insurance should cover cancellations, sickness, losses and all the usual risks. The Facilitator does not accept any liability for cancellations, delays or changes caused by war, threat of war, terrorist actions or threats, closure of airports, civil strife, industrial action, natural disaster, other Acts of God (including but not limited to animal attacks), technical problems to transport, staff cancellations, unforeseen changes in personal circumstances or other events beyond the Facilitator’s control. I acknowledge that the Facilitator is not responsible for weather delays, transportation issues, or any problems that may arise at the Retreat and that all monies paid are nonrefundable except as outlined below.

Upon receipt of the completed registration form together with the proof of payment of the initial non-refundable $100 deposit, Participant’s reservation will be held. The next deposit of a non-refundable $200 is due April 1, 2024. The remainder of the Retreat fee is due on October 1, 2024. If the reservation is made less than 90 days prior to the Retreat start date, 100% of payment is payable within two days of making the reservation to confirm the reservation. 

Should cancellations be made less than 90 but more than 60 days prior to the Retreat start date, payments will be refunded less the non-refundable $300 deposit. When cancellation is made less than 60 and more than 30 days prior to Retreat start date, 50% of the Retreat cost will be refunded less the non-refundable $300 deposit. If cancellation is made less than 30 days prior to the Retreat start date, no payments will be refunded. However, if someone else takes the Participant’s place then a refund will be made on the same basis as in the case of a cancellation made less than 60 days and more than 30 days prior to the Retreat start date. 

The Facilitator reserves the right in any circumstance to cancel a Retreat, in which case she will offer a full refund of all monies paid. In no case will the Facilitator cancel a Retreat less than 2 weeks before the scheduled start date, except for reasons of force majeure.

The Facilitator accepts the responsibility of ensuring that the Retreat is supplied as described on the itinerary and that services provided at the Retreat venue will be at a reasonable standard. Changes to the Retreat schedule may occur. Even though changes are usually minor and Participants will be advised at the earliest possible date, the Facilitator reserves the right to do so at any time. 

RETREAT VENUE TERMS: Spirit in The Desert is a non-smoking campus. A $250 fee per incident will be charged to the Participant if this is not adhered to. Spirit in the Desert does not have a liquor license. Therefore, they cannot provide or serve alcohol. Food and beverages are allowed in approved areas only. Please adhere to this request. Carpet-cleaning and other cleaning related fees will be billed when carpets and other surfaces are soiled due to spilled food, beverage, or other stain-producing materials. Pool and spa waivers are required for all children under the age of 18. Certified service animals only are allowed on campus. Key policy: Lodging room keys are given out to Participants and are to be returned at check-out. If all keys are not turned in at the end of the Retreat, a $10 replacement fee will be assessed. Spirit in the Desert is not responsible for lost items.

COMPLAINTS: If you experience a problem during the Retreat, please inform the Facilitator immediately and she will endeavor to resolve the concern. The Facilitator cannot guarantee the proportion of male/female guests in any group, and the Facilitator is not responsible for individual behavior. 

PRIVACY POLICY:  All information will be treated with the strictest confidence. The Facilitator will not share Participant’s contact and personal information with any third parties.

NOTE THAT BY SUBMITTING THE REGISTRATION FORM YOU HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND AGREE TO ABIDE BY THE RETREAT TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
